Today, Water Distillers effectively remove substances
such as arsenic, aluminum, bacteria, chloride, chlorine,
chloroform, copper, fluoride, lead, MTBE, mercury, nitrates,
sodium,suilfate, trihalomethane(TTHM) and viruses. The
operating capacity of Water Distillers is 1 gallon in
4 hours, 6 gallons in 24 hours.
Providing enough water for up to 4 people,
it requires no assembly or installation and is as easy
to use as a coffee maker. Steam Distillation causes
the water in Waterwise Water Distillers to evaporate
and condense, leaving behind the impurities. Water produced
by Water Distillers is economical, at about $0.25 a
gallon of pure water.
Water purification is achieved in Water
Distillers by two processes. Viruses, bacteria and cysts
are killed when the tap water is heated to 212 degrees
F. Volatile organic compounds are also removed by percolation
through a coconut shell carbon filter. The resulting
distilled water is collected in a 1 gallon polycarbonate
storage bottle.
The action of Water Distillers provides
