The Novabreeze UV Photocatalytic Air Purification System
Novapure's air
cleaning system combines three proven technologies into one
a safe, effective system. First a Novabreeze
ultraviolet light emitter is mounted in the return air duct.
Ultraviolet light has been used for decades to kill germs
in hospitals and laboratories by damaging the DNA of the microorganism,
resulting in its sterilization. Second an Air
Optimizer photocatalytic reactor is installed under
the Novabreeze UV light emitter.
The UV light activates the photocatalytic surface to create
hydroxyl radicals (OH). These OH radicals are like "bullets"
that attack and break down any carbon based contaminants found
in the air or on dust. This includes VOCs and all microorganisms.
The contaminants are mineralized and reduced to CO2 and H2O.
The third step is the optional Dust Scrubber
photocatalytic reactor filter. Even the microscopic contaminants
that are not trapped are scrubbed by hydroxyl radicals and
are chronically dosed until they become sterile.
